Simon Pegg (b. February 14, 1970) is a british actor and comedian best known in North America for films such as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. Pegg is however, more recognizeable to British Audiences for his roles in various compilations from 1995 - 2000, and for his co-creation of the hit comedy Spaced.

A long time collaborator with both Moran and Bailey, he has appeared in various projects by the two and vice versa. Pegg had worked with Dylan Moran in the films Shaun of the Dead and Run Fat Boy, Run and with Bill Bailey in Hot Fuzz, ad Spaced.. Pegg's long time friend and chief collaborator Nick Frost also appeared in Blackbooks as a technician in the episode The Lockout.

Pegg, a rising star in the comedy world has often stated his love for science fiction, and appeared in the Doctor Who episode The Long Game. This episode also starred Tamsin Greig, although the two did not share any scenes together.

Pegg played Evan, the manager of Goliath Books in the episode Manny Come Home.
